বাংলার মেয়েরা–লোকগান,ব্রত পার্বনের গান গেয়ে আসছেন বহুযুগের ওপার থেকে আজও। আধুনিক সংস্কৃতি অনেক ক্ষেত্রেই তাদের সেই ভূমিকাকে প্রাধান্য দেয় না। লোকজীবনের শিল্পী তপন রায় লোকগানে মেয়েদের সেই অধিকার কে পুনঃপ্রতিষ্ঠার জন্য নিরলস উদ্দ্যমে বেশ কয়েক বছর হল গঠন করেছেন “মাদল”। যে দলের শিল্পীরা সবাই নারী। এই অভিনব প্রয়াস মাদলের তালেতালে মন্দ্রিত হোক সারা দেশ জুড়ে। আমার শুভেচ্ছা, ভালবাসা ও সহযোগিতা সব সময় রইলো তাদের সঙ্গে ।

Since eternity, Bengali women are singing various folk songs e.g. Brata parban etc. Most of the time, our modern culture does not glorify that. To ensure their due, folk song artist Tapan Roy formed “Madol” since some years. “Madol” is an all women group. I hope that in coming days the rhythm of this unique endeavor will reverberate across this land. My best wishes, love and cooperation will always remain with them.
